DESCRIPTION: Cerveteri (in modern day Tuscany) was center of Etruscan culture. Cerveteri was a NECROPOLIS, or City of the Dead. Tumuli (round bldgs for graves) arranged along streets and made of TUFA, volcanic ash which is easy to form when hot and then hardens very hard.
