DORIC ONLY: fluted shafts;no base on columns;entablature with architrave,frieze of triglyphs & metopes; cornice. IONIC ONLY: more elongated columns with bases;distinctive voluted capitals;NO triglyphs or metopes (frieze is continuous);flutes are deeper and closer together with flat surfaces in between called fillets. Treasury buildings are always Ionic.
