TITLE: ARCHITECTURE - Theater at Epidaurus - GREECE

DESCRIPTION: HELLENISTIC PERIOD. Theaters or bowls were a vehicle for communal expression thru music, poetry, dance and drama. Altar to Dionysos in the center. Plays were Greek Tragedies based on myths many times performed during festival of Dionysos. Goat Song=highest form of art c/o goat sacred to Dionysus. Also, story of Oedipus was a TRAGEDY, in which he kills father and marries mother.
