DESCRIPTION: COLUMN - 2nd century - Marble - 125' tall column covered with spiraling band of pictorial narrative (over 600 ft. long if unfurled). Commemorated Trajan's victory over Dacians. Trajan's portrait sculpture is on top and his ashes are buried underneath.
