TITLE: View with a Room - Oil on Canvas - 16" x 20" x 3/4"

DESCRIPTION: A tip of the hat (with apologies) to Matisse's 'Open Window Collioure' -- kind of a cross between impressionism, expressionism and folk art. The 'bay' is also a double entendre, since it's a bay window overlooking a bay. I was playing with color, texture and movement on the drapes, and exploring a lighthearted description of boats dancing on the water with the simplest strokes.
