"Passages"

“Passages” is a body of work that is taken from my recent life experience dealing with transition and the duality of feelings that accompany an empty nest and a full heart (2007).

"Letter Writing"

Click here for the image gallery of "Letter Writing," my altered book that took 2nd place in the Juried Artist's Book Competition at the Atlanta College of Art (2006).

I chose a small, vintage leatherbound book that I found at a used bookstore in Atlanta and transformed it from a dry, formal etiquette book into something else entirely. I began by dusting off a box of my parents' memorabilia. What I found there became the basis for the altered book. I placed the finished book in a glass display box, the finishing touch for a treasure such as this.

"Addiction"

"Addiction" is a large 3-dimensional, mixed media piece (2006) composed of panels cut from 50 Diet Coke cans; 24 yds. of wire. It has 2,000 brads shot into it and is connected by a 4' chain to a hinged cuff with a hasp and lock.

"The Limits of our Language"

"The Limits of our Language" is a 20" x 28" poster (2006). How we look at things can make all the difference in WHAT we see. What is "hiding" -- in plain view -- if we will only expand our vision to include it? Once you start looking for letters of the alphabet out there, you won't be able to stop... All the photographs are mine -- no stock images here.

"You Are What You Eat"

This linoprint is printed on 11 x 14 Rives BFK as an Edition of 3 on a Conrad press. Quail, anyone? (2006)

"Honey, Does This Face Make Me Look Fat?"

Click here for a lighthearted look at the insecurities women have about the way they look. Done as a series of digital images printed on a pronto plate and then printed on 11 x 14 Rives BFK on a Conrad press (2006).
