PAINTING - The Dancing Class - IMPRESSIONISM
DEGAS. He frequented ballet schools. Loved ballet on stage, lights, color light on costumes, and the audience's focused attention. But strangely, Degas was a misogynist (pronounced mih-SAH-jen-ist: one who hates women). He was very interested in photography. Many of his paintings look "cropped".
